The Surety of the
of God’s People
The Lord visits every one of His people sometime between their
conception and their death and imparts unto them His divine Spirit.
Hence He says of them, "All that the Father giveth me shall come to
me." (Joh 6:37) He knows they will ultimately occupy heaven be-
cause it is His unalterable purpose to "quicken" them (give them
spiritual life) in His own time (Eph 2:1,5) and that therefore none of
them will be eternally lost but will all be raised up at the last day.
(Joh 6:37-39) Not only will He do this because He has the power to
do it, but He will do it because He has promised to do it. (Titus 1:2)
Neither does He have any problem finding them because the very
foundation of God standeth sure having this seal "The Lord knoweth
them that are His." (2 Ti 2:19)
How good it is to know that the population of heaven does not stand
upon the flimsy footing of the scripturally unauthorized efforts of
so-called soul savers, but on the power and faithfulness of a sover-
eign and merciful God! To teach or to believe otherwise is to greatly
dishonor God and to misrepresent His teachings on the manner in
which His people are saved.
