Jesus’ Prayers
Recognizing Jesus is the Creator, we ask, in all seriousness, if there is
truly any prayer that he could make to the Father that would not be ful-
filled even as he asked, to a jot and a tittle? He tells us clearly in John
10:30 I and my Father are one. That SHOULD stop any further specu-
lation. Saying no to Jesus’ request would be equal to telling himself he
can’t have what he desires. It is, in effect, the Father speaking: Jhn
14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word
which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
Yet we are taught that whatsoever Jesus desires the Father grants: Mat
26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall
presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? And now, this
advice is extended to our prayers in the same manner. Mat 21:22 And
all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
And if that policy applies to us, then surely a thousand times more to
Jesus himself: Jhn 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name:
ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
