Eternal Life
In any doctrinal position, especially one as important as our eternal
life, we must defer to the authority of the scriptures. We can’t let
man’s doctrinal positions and adaptations override the clear mean-
ing of the bible. People are often moved away from the truth of
God’s word with this dangerous phrase:
Yes, but...
If the scripture is not our final authority, we can trust none of man’s
doctrines. If the scripture is not true, we can trust none of God’s po-
sitions. We must trust one or the other.
