Paradox Time

par·a·dox noun a statement or proposition
that, despite sound reasoning from accept-

able premises, leads to a conclusion that
                           seems senseless, logically unacceptable, or

                           self-contradictory.

Much of the confusion over the subject of eternal life comes as a

result of man thinking he is somehow responsible for it. When

we come to understand the scripture’s position, that God grants

eternal life to those he chose before the world began, then we can

also see the logic in this wonderful paradox:

I can not grant myself eternal life if I

don't have it, and I can't lose it if I have it.
